New England Charter Yacht News: Availability Increasing for Upcoming Summer Season

A good number of charter yacht owners have decided to forgo sending their yachts to the Mediterranean this summer, opting instead to locate them in New England.

“It’s unusual to see so many yachts of such high quality advertising availability for the summer season in New England,” says Yachtstore charter broker Gina Robertson. “For anyone who wants to cruise in historic yachting destinations such as Newport, Rhode Island, or Down East Maine, the choices of charter yachts are really outstanding right now.”

One of the most luxurious megayachts that has availability in New England this summer is the 198-foot Feadship Blue Moon. Her regular weekly base rate is $475,000 for 12 guests, but the owner is making her available this summer at a rate of $325,000 in New England.

Blue Moon is a truly stunning Feadship that just became available for charter about a year ago,” Robertson says. “She was built for an extremely serious yachtsman who has owned several megayachts and who wanted a luxurious new yacht to share with his children and grandchildren. Blue Moon thus combines onboard elegance with a family-friendly crew. It’s a fantastic combination.”

Other sailing yachts and motoryachts that will be available this summer in New England at a wide range of price points include the 72-foot Southern Wind Campai, the 80-foot Cheoy Lee Aquarius, the 112-foot Westport New Moon II, and the 110-foot Lazzara motoryacht Le Reve.
